Single Family Office

My grandfather came to the United States from Malta alone at the age of 15.  He landed at Ellis Island where they changed his name from Mosses Azzopardi to Jon Pardi.  His only demonstrable skill was tailoring and he got a job in a zipper factory in SoHo.  When he passed away in his 50's, he left a chain of over 120 dry cleaning stores and a commercial real estate portfolio to his family.  The Zejtun Band Club in Valletta, Malta was a special place from his childhood that he gave back to later in life.  It's a reminder to me to never forget our roots and never underestimate what we can accomplish.
